Note to Margaret Cho

This probably isn’t a winning strategy.

Ultimately, a government cannot defeat its people, no matter how much power they assume or how corrupt they are.

And you would have a Kerry government instead? The government that 59,244,068 of us voted against? Come on, Margaret. What you’re calling a defeat of the people by the government is a triumph of the people, and would have been even if Kerry had won. We had a record breaking turnout. The people have spoken, and you’re just complaining because they spoke out in a way you didn’t want them to.

There are a huge number of us that are on the same side. We had no idea how many of us there were before. We constitute roughly half of the nation, probably more.

Not sure how math works in your world, Margaret, but “probably more” isn’t exactly upheld by the 3.5 million vote deficit your side has on the popular vote. But, if you want to rise up, remember — there are more of us, and it’s likely that we have more guns.

Prayers needed

My thoughts and prayers go out to Elizabeth Edwards, who was diagnosed with breast cancer yesterday.

We need to pray not only that God will see Mrs. Edwards safely through her treatments, but that He will use this tragedy in ways that will bring good to her — possibly bringing her family closer together and/or closer to Him.
