The Incredibles
I managed to catch The Incredibles (finally) on Sunday afternoon. Before giving my review, I feel the need to point out that there’s a good possibility that I’m biased, for two reasons:
1.) I love Pixar movies. As far as I remember, this was the first Pixar movie since Toy Story that I didn’t see on its opening.
2.) I’m a superhero geek. This new batch of superhero movies (starting with X-men, I think) that don’t make the genre look completely ludicrous has thrilled me
Combining the two pretty much guaranteed that I would like this movie.
I don’t remember if I used a four or five star system to rate movies on my last review (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), so I’ll just forego the official rating this time.
Simply stated, as I believe you’ll likely hear from reviewers everywhere, The Incredibles is, well, incredible. Excellent voice-acting, gorgeous animation, a great story — there’s very little to complain about here.
Spoiler-filled review in the extended entry.
[Unrelated: I'm picking up Halo 2 tonight at Midnight. If I don't come back for a few days, it's because I've been possessed by the X-box.]
