I went to see Elektra last night.

Couple of quick thoughts:

• I remembered why I prefer going to early matinee showings (preferably by taking the day of and going on a Friday). People who can’t shut up during the movie should be shot.
• Elektra really suffers from not having a good villain.
• The Fantastic Four preview may not have great, but the special effects looked pretty, at least.

It was a pretty good popcorn movie, aside from the problems that I had seeing Jennifer Garner as Elektra and not Sydney Bristow. I’m on a two week long Alias binge, having watched two to four episodes a night on weeknights and much more on weekends. So, it was difficult for me to switch seeing Jennifer Garner beating people up as Sydney to seeing her beat people up as Elektra.
