Thanks to slick roads, my beloved van (1994-2005) has died. (Thankfully, I didn’t die, and actually escaped without any serious injuries — just a lot of aches, especially around my left shoulder.)

Since I wasn’t keen on walking or biking the 35 or so miles to work, it became obvious that I needed another vehicle. I went shopping for a cheap-like used vehicle and came home with this.

I’m still in too much pain to really enjoy driving it (it’s a standard, and my left shoulder gets really painful after just a few minutes of driving, I’ve discovered), but it’s nice to have a (theoretically) reliable vehicle to drive.

Now, I’m going to go lie down for about 48 hours and hope some of these aches go away.
