Fifteen Days of Firefly: Day Seven

Episode Review: “Bushwhacked”

The crew comes across a derelict transport ship that had been attacked by Reavers, who left only one survivor. As they’re disconnecting themselves from the ship, Serenity is picked up by an Alliance cruiser. While the cruiser investigates what’s going on, it becomes apparent that the Reavers’ attack wasn’t completely over yet.

My first memory of “Bushwhacked” is that I didn’t like it much, but that was apparently an artifact of having not paid attention on my first viewing. I remembered little more than the booby trap on the derelict ship, honestly. Upon watching the episode in my DVD set, I realized that it was much better than I’d remembered, if for no other reason than the scenes where the crew is being interrogated by the Alliance.

Firefly Update

Apparently, someone around here has been slacking off. The daily Firefly post hasn’t been posted since the 18th of September, and the ones for the 17th & 16th were posted on the 18th and backdated. If I had a staff, heads would roll for this, I assure you.

However, since this website is maintained solely by me, it must’ve been me who was slacking off, and as such, I’m in a forgiving mood. Daily posts for the 19th, 20th, and today are going up shortly, and I’ve already written posts for Thursday and Friday that should appear on the appropriate days.

If anyone was coming here daily just to see what I had to say about Firefly, get a life… um, I mean, I’m sorry.
