Now that I’ve convinced everyone who ever stops by here that my television viewing habits are those of a teenage girl, I’m going to bore you even further by talking about the design of my blog layout.
I’ve added a “mini-blog” (a small “blog” for items too trivial to post here, not a blog about my car) over on the right sidebar. It may or may not stick around; I’ve not decided how much I’ll use it. I mostly added it because I thought the programming of it was kind of fun. I filtered all posts of that category (“miniblog”) out of the loop, then ran a second loop with just those posts (it should fetch the most recent five posts, I think). You can comment on those posts by clicking the timestamp under them, if you want.
On every page but the home page, the calendar should appear there just like it was doing before.
I also shifted some stuff around on the sidebars and put a <div> around the Technorati stuff on the bottom of the right sidebar.
Not that anyone cares about most of this stuff; I just like to have it recorded so I can know when I made changes later on.

Here’s something I never thought I’d be admitting on my blog: I’m a big fan of the WB’s Everwood. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk about tonight’s episode.
In an average episode of Everwood, I’m tempted to throw something through my television a couple of times per episode. Almost invariably, these are when Amy is on the screen. Amy is overly nosy, but that doesn’t particularly bother me, since I’ve been accused of that myself a few times. Worse, Amy is bossy, and she always thinks she knows exactly what is right for everyone at any given moment. The only other character I hate (possibly in all of television) more than I hate Amy Abbott is “Dr. Jake,” the young doctor who moved to town earlier this season. Jake shares many of Amy’s faults, and on top of that, he’s just annoying.
So, I was surprised tonight when neither Amy nor Jake tempted me to throw something at the television. Instead, it was the characters I actually like driving me insane tonight. Since this may delve into spoiler territory, I’ll continue this below the cut.

I’m remaining very pessimistic about any live-action Neon Genesis: Evangelion movie. I like the anime fairly well, but this just seems like something that can’t possibly go right.
I’ve always heard you can’t be disappointed if you keep your standards low enough, but there’s a part of me that says that I can’t possibly keep my standards low enough for this.

Broken Bible Edition
It’s not about… making sense. It’s about believing in something. And letting that belief be real enough to change your life. It’s about faith. You don’t fix faith, River. It fixes you.
-Shepherd Book (“Jaynestown”, Firefly), after telling River that she can’t “fix” the Bible.
