Charleston Area Blogmeet – After Action Report
The second (first for me) Charleston area bloggers meet-up was this morning at Taylor books. I took my camera with me, but failed to take any pictures. Fortunately, there were other cameras there, and they were used, so I’m sure I’ll have some pictures to link to before long.
I got to meet the following bloggers:
Brian Canterbury of Knottydread’s Knappy Roots, Shane Evans of Through the Lens, Rick Lee of On Location with Rick Lee, Scott Mitchell of Entropy, “Oncee” (who is the only one whose real name I don’t see on his blog, which is why I’m not listing it here), Will Stewart, and Bob Coffield of Health Care Law Blog.
Someone commented on the fact that only male bloggers showed up, even though we know there are a couple of female bloggers in the area. The fact that we noticed that fact may be very “high school” of us, as someone said, but I’m just glad that I didn’t hear someone mention “Robin from One Stack Mind” as one of the female bloggers they’d expected to show.
I may have missed someone. I’m thinking I did, but the little list I was keeping on my phone doesn’t list anyone else. If I missed someone, I apologize — 8:00 is very early. I am regularly at work by 7:30, but as I told a co-worker recently, I’m usually running on autopilot until at least noon. No one seems to notice, which either speaks very well for my auto-pilot, or very poorly of me when I’m fully awake.
Anyway, I apologize for the crappy “after action report” on this blog meet. I’ve been at work early every day this week, and it looks like tomorrow’s going to be my earliest day yet.
I enjoyed myself, even more than I thought I would (I’m always nervous around groups of people I don’t know, but this wasn’t so bad as I figured it’d be). I’m looking forward to the next one.
[UPDATE: Rick Lee posted photos of CAB2.
I'm in the second picture, far right. I'd leave a comment over at Rick's, but I don't remember my Blogger account password.]
