I’m getting anxious for The Elder Scolls IV: Oblivion, so I’ve been spending a lot of time over on The Elder Scrolls website. Yesterday, I made a wonderful discovery. Bethesda Softworks, the makers of the Elder Scrolls games, made the first game (Arena) available for free, along with a link to a DOS emulator and instructions on how to get the game to work with that emulator.

All other video game companies that own the rights to games that are now a decade old and that you’re not selling anymore, take note. This is how you should treat your fans. Whoever owns the rights to Master of Orion and Master of Magic, I’m looking at you.
