Off the Wagon

I’ve gotten drawn back into watching television (last season, the only show I watched “live” was Lost).

Two of the shows I’m watching so far this season are NBC’s Heroes and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and both

Last week, Heroes entertained me well enough, but I didn’t really find myself as “grabbed” by it as I had hoped. This week’s episode, though, seemed like a huge improvement. We’ve had a glimpse of the powers of most of the main characters, and so we’re actually getting to see a bit of how it affects their lives.

On the other hand, I didn’t expect to like Studio 60 at all. In general, I dislike SNL and similar shows, so a television about making one didn’t appeal to me. Add to that the fact that the show was likely to preach . Found myself enjoying it quite a bit up to the point where they came up with the parody of The Major-General’s Song from The Pirates of Penzance, at which point I was completely sold. This week’s episode episode was just as good.

Spoilers follow.
