Heroes
Holy crap, that was a good ending.
Holy crap, that was a good ending.
I found a couple of stats that I thought I had to post in light of the debates on Saturday.
OOC losses by conference are important, but more important to me, is WHO the losses are to. Only a couple conferences have embarrassing losses. *coughACCcough*
Big East 28-8 (77.8%): Michigan State, Kansas State, Iowa, Wake x2, VaTech, Ohio State, Navy
Big Ten 28-10 (73.7%): Notre Dame x3, Southern Illinois, UConn, Syracuse, Rutgers, New Hampshire, Nevada, Cal
Big XII 33-15 (68.8%): USC, Louisville, Toledo, Iowa, Montana State, LSU, Arizona State, Georgia, Ohio State, TCU x2, Washington State, Houston, Oregon, Army
Pac 10 19-8 (70.4%): Tennessee, Oklahoma, Auburn, Boise, LSU, San Jose State, Navy, Notre Dame
SEC 26-7 (78.8%): Louisville, USC, Missouri, Wake, Tulane, WVU, Michigan
ACC 23-11 (67.6%): Akron, Southern Miss, WVU, Notre Dame, Louisville, Pitt, Western Michigan, ECU, Rutgers, Richmond, Alabama
Not only does the ACC have the worst OOC record, but they also boast the highest percentage of those games being against non-BCS schools.
ACC: 45.5%
SEC: 14.3%
Big XII: 40.0%
Big Ten: 30.0%
Pac 10: 37.5%
Big East: 12.5%This tells me that the Big East is second in line to the SEC in terms of not embarrassing itself.
The ACC and Big XII are certainly not helping their causes.
One of my daily webcomic reads is Least I Could Do. LICD is having a contest to allow people to win a few small prizes.
The contest is team-based, and each “team†consists of 2 individuals. Once a team is entered into the contest, there are weekly and monthly drawings to win prizes. If a team wins a prize, both individuals win a prize. For example, if your team wins the drawing for an Xbox 360, both of you will receive an Xbox 360.
Here’s the interesting thing. There’s no limit to how many teams one person can be a part of. Meaning, you can have/be on 1,000 different teams no problem, and all it does is increase your chance of winning. The contest is open to a big portion of the planet (see rules and regulations for specifics), and the only other real restriction is that posting your e-mail address or your contest link on the LICD forums is prohibited.
Even if my chances of winning are slim, it doesn’t cost anything to enter… I just need people to enter with me. I don’t see why you couldnt’ be one of those people. All you have to do is click below and enter.
