I realize that there are legal reasons why these things are announced, and that the intoxicated are, by definition, not thinking at their best, but advance announcements of sobriety checkpoints always amuse me. I just can’t help thinking that anyone who gets caught in one of these things is a complete idiot (of course, they’re driving while intoxicated, so the complete idiot thing was already proven).
