I think it depends a lot on what difficulty you play it on. If you play it on the easiest difficulty where you basically will just walk through the levels like Rambo daring terrorists to shoot at you, then you will probably finish it pretty quickly. I played it through on Veteran and it took me a while.

I really liked the campaign on this game.. I dont know if it would warrant the full 60 bucks, if you werent going to play any multiplayer.. but I liked it.

I should clarify. I hear the campaign is pretty short. Other than accidentally clicking on it and seeing part of the opening credits, I’ve never played the campaign – the only single player I’ve done at all is playing a couple of the special ops stuff alone.

If they’re still paying attention to this thread, Irishladdy or Polishladdy may be able to say more about the single-player aspects.

Well, the campaign is pretty short, so I don’t know how it’d be for a single-player game, honestly. There are “Special Ops” missions you can play split screen if you’re not planning on playing online (but still want some two-player multiplayer).

We’re getting this game I think. I dont like shooty games or games that make me sick but I saw a commercial for it so we’re getting it. Is there no point to getting these games and just playing them without joining others online?

It’s gotten better, but I’ve mostly been playing without being in a party. I’ve got no idea whether it would be better if I was playing in a party.

Yeah, one of the times you guys got into a game, I tried to find one on my own. It took me into the lobby, merged with about four other lobbies, each time the number of players dwindled. Finally, it just dropped me back to the multiplayer menu. That’s ridiculous. Obviously, I want to play a game. WM2′s response is, “Sorry, we’re too dumb (or too cool, or whatever) to find a game for you.”

I’m pretty sure they IW has some sort of megalomania. They even dropped the Call of Duty title for this game, saying Modern Warfare was too big to fit under the old name.

Has it gotten any better for you? The lobby merging has to be whats doing it. We were playing one on Saturday and got to the map loading screen.. the only thing was we were loading 2 different maps.

How does that work? I am in a party with someone, we go to join a game and during the joining lobby screen we are both there and in the same game. When the map starts to load we were in 2 completely different games. Amazing…

They may work the bugs out of the match joining, but I will never forgive them for completely screwing up the nice party chat system of Xbox Live.
