I learned today that, just as much as I’m interested in political issues, I hate playing politics.

I’m prone to agree with Jon that the lack of ‘cross pollination’ in ideas leads to a lack of rational debate. I’ve never been shy about debating various things with my liberal friends. Being forced to defend my beliefs strengthens them, I think.

I’m remaining very pessimistic about any live-action Neon Genesis: Evangelion movie. I like the anime fairly well, but this just seems like something that can’t possibly go right.

I’ve always heard you can’t be disappointed if you keep your standards low enough, but there’s a part of me that says that I can’t possibly keep my standards low enough for this.
